वेदानामागमानां परमजलनिधिं सर्वविज्ञानपूर्णं वेदान्तार्थप्रकाशक्षममलरुचिं भानुवद्ध्वान्तनाशम्।
शिष्टैः शिष्यैः समेतं निरवधिसुखदज्ञानदातारमीशं वन्दे श्रीमद्गुरूणां परमगुरुवरं शङ्करं पूज्यपादम्॥

Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) is the academia of research in Sanskrit and Indology and its Shodha Sansthan (CIFSS) is the research wing of CIF. It is recognized by Central Sanskrit University as an institution of excellence (Adarsha Shodha Sansthan). CIFSS houses more than 26000 books and 1500 manuscripts. 350 of these are on palm leaf and are very rare manuscripts. National Manuscript Mission (NMM) has granted a Manuscript Conservation Centre (MCC) to CIFSS for preservation of these rare and valuable manuscripts.

CIFSS, established in 2008, conducts workshops, seminars on various topics related to Indian Philosophy, heritage, culture, art and science for academic exchange. It also organizes Sanskrit speaking classes and Sanskrit competitions to promote and propagate Sanskrit language. In order to materialize Gurudev’s (Swami Chinmayananda) vision, CIFSS publishes books on Advaita Vedānta, Nyāya, Vyākaraṇa, Mīmāṃsā, Bhagavad Gītā and management and critical editions of manuscripts.

Located in the lush green ambience, the sacred place of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya’s birth home, and envisioned by Pujya Gurudev, CIF and CIFSS work hand in hand to preserve Indian tradition. Scholars and researchers across the world are invited to visit this place and benefit from the facilities provided by CIF and CIFSS.
