Advanced Level Workshop on Manuscriptology & Paleography organised in collaboration with the National Mission for Manuscripts, IGNCA, New Delhi from 13th November to 12th December 2018 was inaugurated by Prof. Dharmaraj Adat, Vice-chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University, Kalady, in the presence of Prof. Gangadharan Nair, Chairman of the Managing Committee of the Chinmaya Shodha Sansthan, Prof. Gauri Mahulikar, Vice-chancellor of Chinmaya Viswavidyapeeth and Dr. D. K. Rana, Director of Chinmaya Shodha Sansthan. Prof. Dharmaraj Adat hailed the attempts of Chinmaya Shodha Sansthan and appreciated the support rendered by National Mission for Manuscripts, IGNCA, New Delhi while Prof. Gangadharan Nair, detailed the benefit of preserving manuscripts for the future and Prof. Gauri Mahulikar started the introductory academic session on Manuscriptology and Paleography. This workshop, with about 30 select participants will cover a variety of topics such as calligraphic study, manuscript cataloguing, collation methods, critical editing, history of manuscript-ology, studies in various scripts, manuscript repositories, preservation and conservation methods etc.
