- Scholars affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University are pursuing doctoral studies at
this centre. - Enrolling researchers from the Central Sanskrit University is on the anvil.
- CIF is a Recognised Research Centre (RRC) of IGNOU.
- Advertisement for Ph. D. programmes would appear in the month of July
every year. - It will follow the independent mode of admission.
- Candidates having the degree of M. Phil. or 5 years’ relevant teaching/
professional experience who can directly undertake thesis work for Ph. D.
are eligible to apply. - Research disciplines are Sanskrit and Indology.
- Advertisement for Ph. D. programmes would appear in the month of July
- Sastrachudamani Scheme of the CIF Shodha Sansthan recognises salient contributions
of Sanskrit scholars and assists them financially for a fixed period of time to carry out
academic research. - Scholar-in-Residence programme aims at regular presence of visiting Sanskrit scholars in the campus to keep academic exchange and ambiance alive. The visiting scholar is expected to deliver a few lectures and write a research paper during his stay. The institute takes care of his travel, board and lodge and offers a humble Guru-Dakshina.
