CIF Shodha Sansthan has been recognised by Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, Government of India    Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India.  Research Centre by the world’s largest Open University – Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala.

    • Currently, CIF Shodha Sansthan is working on the following broad areas:

    • CIF Shodha Sansthan caters for the academia:
      • A well-equipped library and manuscripts repertoire
      • Board and lodge owned and overseen by Chinmaya International
        Foundation
      • Qualified faculty, and
      • An ambience suitable for academics
    • Scholars affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University are pursuing doctoral studies at
      this centre.
    • Enrolling researchers from the Central Sanskrit University is on the anvil.
    • CIF is a Recognised Research Centre (RRC) of IGNOU.
      • Advertisement for Ph. D. programmes would appear in the month of July
        every year.
      • It will follow the independent mode of admission.
      • Candidates having the degree of M. Phil. or 5 years’ relevant teaching/
        professional experience who can directly undertake thesis work for Ph. D.
        are eligible to apply.
      • Research disciplines are Sanskrit and Indology.
    • Sastrachudamani Scheme of the CIF Shodha Sansthan recognises salient contributions
      of Sanskrit scholars and assists them financially for a fixed period of time to carry out
      academic research.
    • Scholar-in-Residence programme aims at regular presence of visiting Sanskrit scholars in the campus to keep academic exchange and ambiance alive. The visiting scholar is expected to deliver a few lectures and write a research paper during his stay. The institute takes care of his travel, board and lodge and offers a humble Guru-Dakshina.
